Black body kits for BYD SEAL: compare more than colour.
A black BYD SEAL body kit can look similar in photos while differing in material, finish and included parts. Our current range is black injection-moulded PP. This guide separates what is actually listed from finish options you should ask a supplier to confirm, then compares the scope with Maxton’s SEAL set.
Material and finish answer different questions.
PP or ABS describes the plastic material. Gloss or matte describes the surface appearance. Carbon-look describes an appearance or pattern, not proof of genuine carbon fibre. None of these labels establishes that a part fits your bumper.
Our current SEAL kit is injection-moulded PP in the black finish shown. Photos show the fitted appearance; they do not establish a measured gloss level or colour match to your paint. Ask for a close-up and written finish confirmation if matching existing trim matters.
Matte, carbon-look, painted-to-match and genuine carbon-fibre versions are not confirmed products in this range. Request a quote before treating any alternative as available. Ask the supplier and fitter whether surface preparation, painting or care products are appropriate for the exact supplied part.

- Confirm the exact part for your model, year and bumper; use the UK SEAL fitment checklist rather than colour as a compatibility guide.
- Ask your fitter about attachment points, ground clearance, any painting and extra hardware before ordering. Do not assume black parts arrive ready for every installation.

Common questions.
Is every black body kit made from carbon fibre?
No. Black describes appearance, not material. Our listed SEAL parts are injection-moulded polypropylene (PP). A carbon-look pattern does not establish genuine carbon-fibre construction.
Can I order matte black or carbon-look from this range?
Only the black finish shown on the existing product pages is established here. Matte, carbon-look, painted-to-match or genuine carbon-fibre alternatives are not confirmed offers. Request a quote and written specification before planning an alternative.
Is the Maxton kit the same as this three-piece set?
No equivalence is claimed. The Maxton BY-SE-1-SET listing checked on 26 October 2026 includes a spoiler cap as well as front, side and rear components; our listed set contains front lip, side-skirt pair and rear lip. Check each supplier’s current listing.
Does a gloss finish prove better fit or performance?
No. Finish does not confirm fitment, durability, aerodynamic results or vehicle compliance. Compare exact vehicle coverage, material, fixings and fitting requirements separately.
How should I compare UK prices?
